There are a variety of ways for you to get connected!
- Once a month, on the first Saturday at 11:00 am, the ladies meet at the church to discuss a passage or person from the Bible in an informal way around a cup of tea or coffee, to share their highs and lows, pray for one another, and simply enjoy a sense of community with other women of all ages. We refer to these gatherings as Purple Saturdays, in reference to Lydia, who was a seller of purple cloth. According to Acts 16, Paul and Silas met Lydia and some other women who were gathered at a river. When Paul shared the Gospel with them, Lydia opened her heart to the message and became one of the first converts in the region where she lived.
- During the week, either in the afternoon or the evening, we often have a Ladies Bible Study going on, where the women can delve into the Word of God together and get to know each other better in the process. (Contact the church office to find out more about the current study.)
- At various times throughout the year, the Word of Life Women get together to do a craft, work on a project, participate in a "paint date", or engage in some other activity or ministry outreach together. These will be listed on our calendar as they are scheduled.
- As part of the North Central District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, women from Word of Life have the opportunity to participate in various events that involve other churches throughout our district. Each fall, we are invited to attend the annual North Central Alliance Women's Retreat at Big Sandy Camp in McGregor, MN.
